I met Sara years ago vending side by side at a local Market. Her products immediately spoke to me. Everything contained all natural ingredients, often locally sourced, and the products felt very to the point in a delicate kind of way. It was always hard to walk away because everything smelled so good!

I really began to know Sara when I joined her Winter Apprenticeship. The topics we studied, and herbs we worked with that season really resonated with me and everything I was dealing with at the time. My anxiety had spiked. Overall my confidence levels had dropped, and I had pain and discomfort on many levels.

Within my first couple weeks of the apprenticeship, I had already started to feel a little lighter. Incorporating the herbs we learned about in class, and the knowledge of using plants as allies expanded my mind and slowly opened my heart. I had no idea there were so many (local) medicinal herbs! We learned how to identify many local herbs, how to work with them, and even got familiar with the energetics  of each plant. I didn’t realize I could make so many of these products in my own home. Tinctures, elixirs, tea, ciders, syrups, chapsticks, balms- the list goes on! Oftentimes this can be overwhelming, or seem complicated but she taught with such an ease that made you say, “I can do that!” Sara showed us with a little patience and care we can do it ourselves. The DIY approach has actually saved me money and is not only fulfilling, but gives you something to be proud of!
