We believe that herbalism is the medicine of the people. Through our online & in-person offerings, we bring herbal medicine back into the people’s hands – teaching you how your body works and connecting you to the plants growing in your own backyard so that you can reawaken the deep knowledge of herbal wisdom that lives within.

Hi, I’m Sara…

Growing up on Whidbey Island, I was always enchanted by the flora of the Pacific Northwest, from the rich, loamy forests to the sacred seasides and lush fern patches. Enriched from an early age by the wisdom and teachings of local herbalists, I’ve spent years wandering the woods with a foraging basket in hand, connecting with local plants and crafting them into herbal formulas.

As my knowledge and understanding of the plants grew, so, too, did my awe of untamed spaces and beneficial herbs. Hawthorn & Honey is dedicated to the wilderness, and to all the wild, free folk under its spell.
